UCOL 1000: Explore the Arts & Imagination (2023-2024)

This course, a weekly discussion-based seminar, introduces first-year college students to learning in an academic community. This colloquium is intended to provide you with interdisciplinary experiences and information about creativity, imagination, and the arts at SPU, Seattle, and beyond. The course will explore local art (music, film, dance, theater, visual art, and cuisine) to better understand and appreciate the role of arts in our daily lives. Students will also engage in planning coursework, choosing majors and minors, laying out their academic path, working with faculty, and connecting with campus resources.
