UCOL 1000: Christ-centered Justice (2021-2022)

This course, a weekly discussion-based seminar, introduces first-year college students to learning in an academic community. In this colloquium, students will investigate what it means to act justly with respect to various issue of our day. We will look at what the Bible says about injustice and how we are to respond. We will discuss our role as Christians in a racially (and otherwise) divided world and explore the exciting opportunities we have to make a difference at SPU. Students will also engage in planning coursework, choosing majors and minors, laying out their academic path, working with faculty, and connecting with campus resources.
