View all GS classes
Course Description:
This course aims to help students cultivate mindfulness in their everyday life. Students will explore how mindfulness practices can offer different ways to go through everyday situations, such as uncertainty of belonging, academic and financial stress, being healthy, and staying connected with family and friends. Each week’s class is hands-on and experiential. Facilitated by expert practitioners, students will try out a variety of mindfulness-based practices in a group with their peers (e.g., counting my breaths, observing my environment with my five senses, noticing my emotions, showing kindness to myself, etc.) and discuss the effect of these practices on their sense of well-being.
