Office of Sponsored Programs

You focus on scholarship — we do the rest!

Tenure track faculty at Seattle Pacific University are evaluated on the quality of their teaching, scholarship and service. The Office of Sponsored Programs supports scholarship by helping faculty and administrators acquire and manage internal and external grant opportunities. Read more about how our Christian faith inspires and guides our scholarship

Our goals:

  1. Service oriented
  2. Streamlined processes
  3. Data driven support and decisions
  4. Protecting our applicants and the institution

If you are a faculty or administrator seeking funding you will work with one of two offices at SPU. The Office of Sponsored Programs or University Advancement

University Advancement typically handles requests from Senior Leadership and Deans related to infrastructure, new programs and external donors - either individuals or companies. These requests do not usually involve scholarship or research. Contact John Pearson, Director of Advancement, for more information.

The Office of Sponsored Programs supports faculty seeking support from federal agencies, corporations or private foundations focused on scholarship. We also support large federal or foundation grants to Deans and Senior administrators focused on inter-disciplinary scholarship and program development. Take a look at the following pages for more information.

Not sure where your project fits? If you are requesting funding from any external source in any amount get started here by filling out our grant interest form. We will get you to the right office!
