What is something you wish everyone knew about your major?
Computer science has space for everyone! You can bring computer science to any field and find a job that fits you; it's why I got interested in it in the first place.
What was your most impactful class or professor?
Mandarin Chinese classes with Professor Bian Laoshi. I took the first Mandarin class for my language requirements and her passion for teaching the language and endless support of her students led me to take all of the offered Chinese courses, as well as a few independent studies with her.
What are some of your career goals?
I am headed to graduate school at the University of Washington to become a librarian! I love learning and want to continue learning for the rest of my life, and libraries are a good place to do that.
What advice do you have for incoming students?
Get to know your professors. When school got hard, my professors were one of my biggest supports and sources of encouragement.
What SPU has meant to you?
SPU to me has meant overcoming hardships and challenges in order to meet my goals.
