What is something you wish everyone knew about your major? Contrary to popular belief, we (business majors) actually talk about a lot more than just being greedy money makers. A successful business has so much more reach from impacting its employees, consumers, the environment, and culture. We got to discuss a lot about ethics and faith and how those play into our work.

What was your most impactful class or professor? Dr. Don Lee got me to think in very unique ways. Applying our business strategy concepts to our careers, like how to position ourselves or market ourselves as potential employees. He also got me to reflect deeply about my faith and how that can be woven into my career, as well as thinking about what success looks like outside of just work.

What are you excited for in your future career? To continue to learn as much as I can about marketing and creative production and how the two can be used in unison. And excited to put out impactful content and stories wherever I go!

What advice do you have for incoming students? Try to be social, even if it doesn’t come easy to you. It took me a bit to come out of my shell, but I wish I did sooner! Your classmates are the people you’re going to be with for the next four years so create those connections and memories.

How have you grown during your time at SPU? My time at SPU has deepened my faith and has grown my competence and critical thinking.
