Seattle Pacific University and the Janusz Korczak Association of the USA will host an international conference August 22-25, 2018 on the topic of Education for Excellence, Diversity, and Respect. As a joint event with the Janusz Korczak Association of the USA, Korczak’s legacy is a crucial part of this conference. The conference will provide teachers and educational staff with hands-on workshops centered around the the legacy of Janusz Korczak (1878-1942), a Polish-Jewish pediatrician, writer, educator, and father of progressive orphanages and children's rights. Prominent US academics, researchers, and innovative practitioners, and members of Janusz Korczak associations from around the globe will be in attendance.
