The Seattle Pacific grounds are a recognized landmark in the Seattle community, earning the prestigious Gardens of Distinction award from the Washington Association of Landscape Professionals.
Throughout the year, the campus grounds display a cornucopia of color — purple alliums blooming in front of Alexander and Adelaide Hall, tulips framing garden edges, the rose garden beneath the flagpole in Tiffany Loop, and much more.
In fact, the SPU arboretum includes several large and unique specimens:
- The largest Boliana poplar in the Seattle area
- Some of the largest California Valley oaks outside of California
- The largest American elms in the Seattle area
