graduate What is your major?
Major: Business Administration (management). Minor: Psychology

What is something you wish everyone knew about your major?
One of the biggest things I would say is that business is so complex and there are so many different routes you are able to go with this major. I think there is a lot of stigma around business being very boring but I feel like almost everyone could find something in business that fits them.

What was your most impactful class or professor?
The most impactful professor I have had at SPU was Dr. Don Lee, professor of management. I had him this current quarter for strategic management and just based on how he teaches and interacts with students really stood out to me. This is the first professor I have had where I didn’t feel nervous to speak out loud during class, the class atmosphere was very comfortable and he has also been great at giving post college advice as well as helping with networking his previous students with his current students for any career questions they might have.

What are you excited for in your future career?
Personally, I am just excited to find my path and where life takes me. I try not to stress myself too much on what I am going to do after college but I am excited for the opportunities that I will have to not only grow professionally but as a person as well.

What advice do you have for incoming students?
As a student who came to SPU during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, one of the biggest pieces of advice I could give is to not take social events for granted or just any kind of event where you have the opportunity to meet new people. My first year at SPU nearly everything was shut down and I missed out on quite a lot because of it.

How have you grown during your time at SPU?
I have grown tremendously as a person and learned a lot about myself that I don’t think I would have learned if I went elsewhere and that isn’t just because of my major or the classes I had taken; it goes beyond that. In addition, an aspect that also helped me grow as a person was that I met some of my lifelong friends at SPU and I am so grateful to have had that experience.
