Health Care Professions

These pages describe some popular health care professions, but there are many other possibilities, including some that do not require graduate-level training (for example, see https://www.bls.gov/ooh/healthcare/home.htm). Some SPU degree tracks include most of the pre-requisite courses for professional schools, but all students—regardless of their major—are strongly advised to investigate the requirements of individual professional schools and to be prepared to take additional courses as necessary.

Almost every profession has an organization, and that group’s website is a great place to find information about the profession and how to prepare for it. Some professional organizations have a separate group devoted to educating future practitioners.

Please note: These are informational pages for current SPU students and do not represent programs that SPU offers.
