Special panel: How do we really know?

Join us for a Ways of Knowing panel and discussion featuring Geneva Gay, an internationally-known expert in multicultural education, on Friday, April 1 from 9 to 11 a.m. in SPU’S Upper Gwinn Commons. The event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Gay and several other scholars will explore and reflect on ways people know (epistemology) and how that affects us as college educators and learners. Their topic is especially relevant today, given recent campus-wide discussions about race, ethnicity, and culture.

Dr. Gay has written several scholarly works, including Culturally Responsive Teaching and At the Essence of Learning: Multicultural Education. She also serves on the author team of the Scott Foresman New Elementary Social Studies Series.
