Steve Perisho Re-Elected as Secretary of the American Theological Library Association Board of Directors

Recently, SPS and SPU Librarian Steve Perisho was re-elected as Secretary of the American Theological Library Association Board of Directors for the 2015-2016 term, after he served in that role from 2014-2015.

The American Theological Library Association is the world’s largest and most active association pursuing the interests of theological libraries and librarians and the academic programs they serve.  There are much smaller organizations in Europe, Australia, Asia, and elsewhere, but the ATLA is far and away the leader worldwide.  You can read more about it under “Who We Are” here

All of the major divinity school and theological libraries in the U.S. and Canada (e.g. Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Union in New York, Duke, etc.), and many of their librarians, along with a number of major graduate libraries in religious studies (and their librarians), belong to the Association.

We congratulate Steve on his accomplishment!
