Upperclass & Commuter Ministries

Upperclass & Commuter Ministries (UCM) serves SPU transfer students, as well as students who live off campus or in Campus Housing and Apartments (CHA).

Upperclass & Commuter Ministries is dedicated to serving transfers, CHA, off-campus, and commuter students. UCM cultivates Christian community by bringing these groups together through various events, including monthly grab-and-go lunches (first Wednesday of the month, 12–2 p.m., Eaton Hall Breezeway) and monthly free groceries (third Wednesday of the month, 12-2 p.m., Eaton Hall Breezeway).

If you are looking for a place to serve others, we welcome you to join our team as we seek to meet the needs of the transfer, CHA, off-campus, and commuter student population.

Ways to connect

John Perkins

The Perkins Center

Founded in 2004, the John Perkins Center — a partnership among the John Perkins Foundation of Jackson, Mississippi, Seattle Pacific University, and Christian community leaders — equips students to model reconciliation and contribute to community health and wholeness.

Join Us Wednesday Nights for Group

This is not your standard “songs and sermon” program. Group is a holistic service, an immersion of the body, mind, and heart in the Christian story.
