Social Cognition Laboratory

Directed by Brittany Tausen, PhD, the Social Cognition Laboratory (SoCo Lab) within the School of Psychology, Family, and Community at Seattle Pacific University investigates how people think about themselves and others, as well as the judgments and behaviors that follow these mental processes. Research assistantships

If you are a current SPU student interested in joining the SoCo research team, you must:

  • Complete a research contract with Dr. Tausen
  • Complete PSY 3438 Social Psychology
  • Register for PSY 2361 Research Experience or PSY 4970 Independent Research (three or more credits)     
  • Commit to participate as a research assistant for two or more quarters
