Faculty, staff and students from the SPU Biology Department joined thousands of others worldwide for the March for Science, held on Earth Day (April 22, 2017). In Seattle, Drs. Derek Wood, Katey Houmiel, Elie Brezynski, Charlotte Pratt and Janet Bester-Meredith, along with their families, joined the March from Cal Anderson Park on Capitol Hill to the Seattle Center.
At SPU's field station on Blakely Island, Dr. Ryan Ferrer and students in his BIO 2103 course took a break from their studies to march to the peak overlooking the San Juan archipelago.
