Dominique (Garcia) Barragan, who earned a BS Physiology degree from SPU in 2013, was the featured speaker at the BioCORE Scholars' quarterly meeting on February 16, 2022. Dominique, who earned a Masters in Cultural Studies at the University of Washington, is the Executive Director of the Seattle Clinical Research Center, where she oversees clinic operations. Dominique shared her experiences as a first-generation college student and woman in STEM, and described her path from a traditional pre-med track to her current profession.
