Cheryl Steighner, an SPU alumna who earned her master’s in Curriculum and Instruction in 2011, has received the coveted Henderson Prize from the New Media Consortium. She teaches second and third graders at Camelot Elementary in Federal Way, and received the award after competing in the NMC K–12 Ambassador Forum.
“Cheryl strives to engage, inspire, and positively change her students and fellow educators,” says the NMC’s Holly Ludgate. “She is an inspiration to us all.”
