School of Education Scholarships
Students can apply for the following School of Education scholarships (including Ethnic Diversity, Kingswood, and Rowley) using one application.
The annual scholarship application is closed for the 2023-2024 academic year. The application will reopen again for the 2024-2025 academic year on February 15, 2024. Students applying for this scholarship use the General School of Education Scholarship application (linked above when open).
- General School of Education Scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students.
To be eligible for the General School of Education Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- For undergraduates: be admitted to the School of Education as a teacher certification candidate.
- For graduate students: be admitted to a School of Education graduate degree or certification program.
- Be enrolled at least half time each quarter during the academic year.
- Maintain all student requirements for continuation in the program.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Ethnic Diversity Scholarship - For students of color who have been admitted to an SOE graduate program. Students applying for this scholarship use the General School of Education Scholarship application (linked above when open).
To be eligible for the Ethnic Diversity Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be admitted to a School of Education graduate degree or certification program.
- Be enrolled at least half time (3 credits) each quarter during the academic year.
- Maintain all graduate student requirements for continuation in the program.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Belong to an under-represented ethnic minority group.
- Kingswood Scholarship - Available to graduate students currently employed in Christian schools. Students applying for this scholarship use the General School of Education Scholarship application (linked above when open).
To be eligible for the Kingswood Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be admitted to a School of Education graduate degree or certification program.
- Be enrolled at least half time (3 credits) each quarter during the academic year.
- Maintain all graduate student requirements for continuation in the program.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Be employed half time or more in a state-approved Christian elementary or secondary school.
The School of Education Scholarship Committee awards scholarships based on available funds. Awarded funds are allocated quarterly, and any exceptions to the allocation schedule are handled on a case-by-case basis.
