Yikhwan was born in South Korea and moved to Tacoma, Washington at the age of twelve. After high school, he attended Seattle Pacific University where he received a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in theology. Yikhwan then moved to Indiana to pursue a master’s degree in higher education and student development at Taylor University.
He previously worked as a residence hall director at Huntington University and as an area coordinator at Indiana University-Purdue University in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Yikhwan feels blessed to have returned to Seattle Pacific and is extremely excited to serve SPU students.
In his spare time, Yikhwan enjoys walking all the different hills of Seattle, spending time with family and friends, riding around on a longboard, finding local coffee shops, watching sports, and eating.
