Room deposits
Continuing students who contract for Autumn Quarter 2020 housing during the sign-up process will forfeit their original housing deposit if they cancel their contract anytime after receive their housing assignment.
For Winter and Spring quarters, continuing students must cancel their contract by the following dates to receive a refund of their housing deposit:
- Winter Quarter 2021: November 30, 2020
- Spring Quarter 2021: March 8, 2021
From the time you occupied your first room in an SPU residence hall, your room deposit has remained on your account, and it will remain on your account until you officially withdraw from University housing.
If your room is not damaged, and all contract obligations are met (i.e., proper notice is given, checkout is complete, etc.), the deposit will be credited to your account. If you have an outstanding balance, the credit will reduce the amount owed. If you don’t have an owing balance, you will be sent an email from Student Financial Services when a credit check or direct deposit has been processed.
