My name is Erik Birrueta. I am a first-generation student. I was raised in Sunnyside Washington. A small urban town in the Yakima Valley, one of the largest agricultural areas in all of Washington. I attended and graduated from the University of Washington with my bachelor's in Psychology. From there I worked in Family Behavioral Health as a social worker within the Seattle Washington King County area. My most recent position as an Admissions Counselor for Seattle Pacific University helped me gain valuable skills in communication and youth development. I am thankful to God for all the opportunities he has blessed me with. I am happy to be serving students and families as a residence life coordinator for SPU!
