Nursing Loans

Seattle Pacific University, with funding provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (Title VIII), is the lender of the Nursing Loan.

Eligibility requirements 

  • You must be admitted to the SPU nursing program.
  • Sophomore standing or higher.
  • Demonstration of financial need
  • Enrolled at least half-time (6 credits undergraduate)
  • Making satisfactory academic progress.     

Additional information 

  • Interest rate: 5%
  • Accrual and repayment: Begins nine months after going below least half-time enrollment in a course of study at a collegiate school of nursing leading to a baccalaureate degree in nursing, an equivalent degree, or graduate degree in nursing
  • Repayment period: 10 years
  • Minimum monthly payment: $40
