Outside Scholarships

Albertson & Davidson Scholarship

  • Available to: students who are currently attending or are planning on attending an accredited college or university in the U.S. during the fall 2019 semester.

A Step Ahead Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,500
  • Available to: Graduating Seniors or undergraduate students currently enrolled in college. Must be between the ages of 16 and 26 to be eligible.

B. Davis Scholarship

  • Available to: All high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any post secondary institution.

Behavioral Health Academic Scholarship

  • Amount: $2500-$5000
  • Available to: Undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in an accredited college or university who study in the field of Psychology, Nursing, Social Work or related fields.

Benjamin Gilman International Scholarship

  • Amount: Varies
  • Available to: U.S. citizen undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in study and intern abroad programs worldwide.

Boeing Company STEM Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,500
  • Available to: Applicants must be a junior or senior at an ICW college as of Fall 2019, have a minimum GPA of 3.25, and be majoring in science, technology, engineering, mathmatics (STEM), a health care field, or be preparing to teach in a STEM field.

Building Industry Association of Washington Scholarship

  • Available to: Applicants must be Washington state residents pursuing a degree in the construction industry-related filed.

Caitlan Wallace Memorial Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,500
  • Available to: Students currently attending or planning to attend an accredited college or university during the fall of 2019 forward.

Canyon Institute Arizona Scholarship

  • Amount: $2,500 Renewable for up to 4 years if student maintains eligibility criteria.
  • Available to: Full-time enrolled undergraduate students who graduated from an Arizona high school or if their permanent residence is in Arizona. GPA must be at least 3.0.

Carport Central Scholarship

  • Amount: $250-$1,000
  • Available to: Any current, full-time, part-time student of an accredited or non-accredited institute. Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 to become eligible.

  • Amount: $500-$1,000
  • Available to: Full time enrolled students who have primary physical custody of one or more minor children. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher or be a first year student.

David M. Irwin Friend of Higher Education Award

  • Amount: $1,500
  • Available to: Applicants must be a junior or senior at an ICW college as of Fall 2019 and feel deeply transformed by their college experience. Students with a GPA of 2.5-3.0 encouraged to apply.

E.K. & Lillian F. Bishop Foundation Scholarship

  • Amount: $3,000
  • Available to: Applicants must have a permanent residence located in Grays Harbor County. Must attend one of the ten ICW colleges in fall 2019 and demonstrate financial need.

Eltima Software Scholarship Program 2019

FamilyAssets Scholarship

  • Amount: $3,000
  • Available to: Students who are enrolled in an accredited university in the US. Must be either volunteering providing services to seniors or helping take care of an elderly relative at home.

Ford Foundation Fellowships

  • Amount: One year stipends ranging from $25,000 to $45,000.
  • Available to: Predoctoral, dissertation, and postdoctoral fellows committed to a career in teaching and research at the college or university level. Must be US citizens or eligible non-citizen.
  • Deadline: Varies depending on the type of fellowship.

Gates Millennium Scholarship

  • Amount: Varies based on financial need determined through the FAFSA application. Average award in the past years was $12,785.
  • Available to: Students of color who are African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian American/Pacific Islander, or Hispanic American. Must be an incoming freshman in the Fall with a minimum GPA of 3.3 or have a GED. Must be eligible for the Federal Pell grant; other criteria on website

  • Available to: Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited university, college, trade or vocational school.   • Available to: Students in the US who are studying in business, entrepreneurship or graphic design related fields. You must currently be attending an accredited college or university within the United States. All applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents.

Hearthstone Housing Foundation Scholarship Fund

  • Amount: $500-$5000
  • Available to: low-income High-School students or full-time undergraduate students attending a college, university, or vocational school​ in the United States who are between the ages of 15-25. Must be a resident of a county where a Hearthstone property is located.

Neal O. Thorpe Memorial Scholarship

  • Amount: $7,500 Scholarship is awarded up to five years, totaling up to $37,500.
  • Available to: Graduate or soon-to-be graduating high school seniors located in Alaska. Strong preference will be given to students who are the first in their immediate family to attend college or university, although non-first generation students may also apply. Must be accepted and plan to enroll at one of the 14 eligible universities listed on the website.

Passport to College Promise Scholarship

Seattle Foundation Scholarships

  • Amount: Varies depending on the scholarship

Seattle Milk Fund Child Care Grant

Student Veterans Scholarships

  • Amount: $10,000
  • Available to: Student veterans as proven by a DD 214 and transcript and have received an honorable discharge, or be in good standing with his/her branch of service. Must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate program of study in engineering, computer science, computer engineering, accounting, finance, human resources and/or information technology management.

The BrightStar Systems Future Technologies Scholarship

US Army Health Professions Scholarship

  • Amount: 100% tuition and monthly stipend
  • Available to: Full-time enrolled medical and dental students in an accredited graduate program. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must qualify as a commissioned officer.

Veteran Car Donations Annual Scholarship

  • Available to: Undergraduate students who are majoring in a STEM field at a university or college.

Washington State School Retirees' Association Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Available to: Applicants must have graduated from a Washington State high school, be enrolled in a college of education pursuing a career in a field of education, and profess a strong desire to teach in Washington State. The college they are attending does not have to be in Washington State.

Washington State Opportunity Scholarship

  • Amount: $5,000
  • Available to: Applicants must be Washington state residents, earned a high school diploma or GED for a Washington state institution by June of the year of application.

Wellcentive Medical Scholarship for Veterans

  • Amount: $5,000
  • Available to: Students with at least a 2.8 GPA that are a current medical student or enrolled in pre-med/are a health major.

William G. Saletic Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Available to: Applicants must be a junior or senior at an ICW college as of Fall 2019 and be majoring in history or political studies.

Washington Women In Need Education Grant

  • Amount: $5000 Grantees are eligible to apply for one additional $5,000 grant, up to a maximum of $10,000 in total WWIN funding.
  • Available to: Women, 18 years or older, resided in Washington for the past 12 months, US citizen or permanent citizen, admitted in an approved college or university, enrolled in a specific program, low income (see website criteria).
