Outside Scholarships

Bellhops Moving Forward Scholarship

  • Amount: $3,000

Benjamin Gilman International Scholarship

  • Amount: Varies
  • Available to: U.S. citizen undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in study and intern abroad programs worldwide.

  • Available to: Undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled members of a US-Federally Recognized Tribe.

  • Available to: Graduating high school seniors enrolled either full-time or part-time in accredited colleges or universities. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. 252 awards are granted annually.

CSI Executive Search STEM Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Available to: Undergraduate and master's students in all STEM majors. Must be US Citizen to apply.

CustodyxChange Single Parent Scholarship

  • Amount: $500-$1,000
  • Available to: Full time enrolled students who have primary physical custody of one or more minor children. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher or be a first year student.

Dealhack Community Volunteer Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,500
  • Available to: Students who are enrolled full-time at a college or university in the US or Canada for the 2018-2019 academic year. Must be in good academic standing and exemplify outstanding community volunteer involvement.

Democrats for Life of America (DFLA) 2019 Essay Contest

  • Amount: $2,500
  • Available to: Applicants must be full time students in High School, College or Vocational Training during the contest period. There is no advantage or disadvantage to being a member of DFLA, or being affiliated with a political party.

Design Your Future Scholarship

  • Amount: $2,500
  • Available to: Graduating high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students of underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds. Students from all majors are encouraged to apply, but preference will be given to applicants pursuing design and engineering-related fields. Minimum GPA must be 2.0.
  • Deadline: June 30, 2019

  • Amount: $3,000
  • Available to: Students who are enrolled in an accredited university in the US. Must be either volunteering providing services to seniors or helping take care of an elderly relative at home.

Ford Foundation Fellowships

  • Amount: One year stipends ranging from $25,000 to $45,000.
  • Available to: Predoctoral, dissertation, and postdoctoral fellows committed to a career in teaching and research at the college or university level. Must be US citizens or eligible non-citizen.

  • Amount: $2,000
  • Available to: Current college freshmen, sophomore, or junior between ages 17-24.

Gates Millennium Scholarship

  • Amount: Varies based on financial need determined through the FAFSA application. Average award in the past years was $12,785.
  • Available to: Students of color who are African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian American/Pacific Islander, or Hispanic American. Must be an incoming freshman in the Fall with a minimum GPA of 3.3 or have a GED. Must be eligible for the Federal Pell grant; other criteria on website

GreenPal's Scholarship for Tomorrow's Entrepreneur

  • Amount: $2,000

Applicants must demonstrate high ambition and desire to be an entrepreneur or business owner. Applicants must have a declared major or minor in the college of Business, Economics, or Finance.

Ivey Engineering Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000

Passport to College Promise Scholarship

  • Amount: $4,500
  • Available to: Students who spent at least one year in foster care in Washington state after their 16th birthday. Emancipated from care on or after January 1, 2017. Enroll at least half-time by their 22nd birthday. Must be a WA resident.
