Card FAQs

Yes, debit and credit card payments are only accepted online via QuikPAY.

QuikPAY is a secure third-party payment service provider that processes online payments for tuition and other student account charges.

Card users will be assessed a separate, non-refundable transaction fee at the time of each credit or debit card payment. Domestic credit and debit cards will be assessed a 2.8% fee of the payment amount. International credit and debit cards will be assessed a 4.25% fee of the payment amount.

The non-refundable transaction fee will be assessed by QuikPAY and will appear as a separate charge on your credit card statement.

E-check payments from checking and savings accounts can be made online in QuikPAY and do not incur a transaction fee.

The transaction fee charged by QuikPAY covers the cost of processing credit and debit card payments.

Because credit and debit card charges are processed by payment service provider, QuikPAY, SPU cannot accept credit and debit card payments in person, by mail or over the phone.

The transaction fee is assessed by QuikPAY, not SPU, so it will not appear on your student account. The transaction fee will appear as a separate charge on your credit card statement.

SPU is required to refund any overpayments made by card back to the credit or debit card company. The transaction fee will not be refunded for the portion overpaid.

Yes, many other private and public universities charge card transaction fees.

The transaction fee is non-refundable. Any transaction fee disputes must be taken directly to your credit or debit card company.
