Nursing Loans

Seattle Pacific University, with funding provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (Title VIII), is the lender of the Nursing Loan.

Eligibility requirements

You must be admitted to the SPU nursing program.
Sophomore standing or higher.
Demonstration of financial need
Enrolled at least half-time (6 credits undergraduate)
Making satisfactory academic progress.

Additional information

Interest rate: 5%
Accrual and repayment: Begins nine months after going below least half-time enrollment in a course of study at a collegiate school of nursing leading to a baccalaureate degree in nursing, an equivalent degree, or graduate degree in nursing
Repayment period: 10 years
Minimum monthly payment: $40

Application process

Your initial eligibility application is your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Students awarded a Nursing Loan will be notified in July, via their SPU email account regarding requirements for this loan.
