A student proposal to aid amputees in developing nations with high-quality lower limb prosthetics made from used tires took top honors at the eighth annual Social Venture Plan Competition held at SPU on April 16.
Sound Steps was chosen as the $3,000 Herbert B. Jones Grand Prize winner by the combined votes of more than 75 judges representing the business, nonprofit, academic, and professional community. Kinetic, Inc. took the second-place $2000 Pioneer Award. The Don Summers People’s Choice award of $500 went to Stepping Stones. Read more about the competition.
